Frequently Asked Questions

What is reformer Pilates?

The reformer is the spring-loaded apparatus Joseph Pilates designed: a gliding carriage with adjustable springs, straps, and a foot bar. The springs add guided resistance to every movement, so you build long, lean strength while your joints stay supported. It's beginner-friendly and endlessly scalable — the same machine challenges first-timers and advanced practitioners.

Do I need experience to start?

Not at all. All classes are open level — your instructor sets up your equipment, teaches you the reformer, and offers modifications from your very first visit.

How long are classes?

Classes are 45 minutes. Please arrive about 5 minutes early so we can get you set up and start right on time.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable, form-fitting activewear you can move in (nothing too loose — it can catch in the springs) and grip socks, which keep you secure on the reformer. A water bottle is always a good idea. We'll handle the rest.

How do classes and packages work?

Create an account, buy a class package, then book your spots on the schedule. Each package is valid for a set number of days from purchase (typically 30 — see the package for its exact window). You can take one class per day, and you check in from your account when you arrive.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens! Cancel from your account at least 12 hours before class and there's no charge. Cancel later than that and the class still goes back on your package, but a $15 late-cancellation fee applies.

What do I need for online classes?

Online classes are live on Zoom, so you'll need a reformer at your location plus a laptop or tablet with a camera, set up where you're visible to the instructor so they can guide your movements. Your join link arrives in your booking confirmation email.
